Civica crowned award-winning cloud leader
Civica’s CRaSH platform wins Integration Product of the Year at the Computing Cloud Excellence Awards
Civica was chosen amongst a group of other outstanding nominees at the recent Computing Cloud Excellence Awards to win the Cloud Integration Product of the Year for its CRaSH platform.
In partnership with the Home Office and the Department for Transport, CRaSH is Civica’s integrated cloud collision reporting and sharing solution, which is already supporting 24 UK police forces to improve road safety and save lives across the country. Mobile roadside reporting not only saves time and money but captures a more accurate picture of the causes and locations of traffic collisions.
The company’s AccessNI cloud-based disclosure service for Northern Ireland was also highly commended in the Most Innovative Cloud Product category. Northern Ireland previously used a wholly paper-based service which required residents to complete handwritten forms, visit a police station for verification and send official documents and cheques by post. Now, AccessNI enables all due diligence and administration to take place securely via the cloud. Each year, the team processes over 145,000 disclosure applications for more than 700 customers.
Harold de Neef, Group Director for Cloud, said: “Two accolades under our belt is nothing short of fantastic for Civica. This level of external recognition acknowledges the effort that all of us are making to further establish our cloud leadership in public services.”
Out of 180 submissions in total, Civica was also one of ten shortlisted in the Best Cloud Project category in partnership with the University of Roehampton, who moved its IT applications and servers to Microsoft Azure after a Civica Cloud Readiness Assessment. The university is on-track to save more than £4 million over ten years, with more than 13,000 students and employees now using Office 365.
