I joined Civica as an administrator more than four years ago and, after two years, I was promoted to my current role as People Consultant. Some personal highlights include; being nominated by two different managing directors at Civica for the Women in IT Excellence Awards and being flown out to Australia to set up an HR system and train the local team. I’m currently working towards my next promotion. I’ve taken a number of workshops through the Civica Academy and I’ve also had a lot of coaching from senior employees. My senior managers have been really helpful in making it clear what I need to do to progress. If it appears there’s a skills gap then they’ll give me the opportunity to get the experience. Our culture matches the way I was raised – Civica is a group of people with the same morals and same drive to do things right and to do things well. I love the variety of my work, the trust I am afforded to do my job well and the opportunities available to continue to develop my role.
