Boston, MA (PRWEB) – October 8, 2014 – Maury Regional Medical Center, located in Columbia, TN has selected VisionWare’s MultiVue® platform to address the growing number of disparate patient records within their system and create a single, 360° view of patient and provider data across facilities. This effort will serve as a catalyst to enhance their patient portal and drive patient engagement, while also laying the foundation for future projects, which rely on high quality data.
Maury Regional Medical Center is a 275-bed acute care hospital and the flagship for a group of facilities, including Marshall Medical Center, Wayne Medical Center and Lewis Health Center all of which serve more than 260,000 patients across southern middle Tennessee. Nationally recognized for their quality, Maury was named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Truven Health Analytics in 2013 and the only area hospital to attain the Everest Award.
“At Maury, we realize that technology is the cornerstone of our success – enabling us to deliver affordable patient care while also maintaining our outstanding quality ratings in Tennessee’s highly competitive healthcare market,” says Jim Parcel, CIO. “EMPI technology has become a top priority of the IT strategic plan as we work to integrate our disparate systems. Our need for robust master data management capabilities such as data governance, stewardship and visualization in order to utilize our data to its full potential is the primary reason why we partnered with VisionWare.”
Maury selected VisionWare’s MultiVue platform over competitive offerings because of its ability to match and merge using a collaborative data model, along with its speed to deploy and enhanced visualization capabilities. Parcel noted, “As Maury continues to grow and collaborate with other local area organizations, the need for reliable and accurate data across each source system is imperative. MultiVue’s collaborative data model ensures that we can maintain the highest level of data integrity, regardless of the original data source or format.”
In an effort to further support their patient engagement strategy, Maury intends to first deploy VisionWare’s solution to optimize the patient and provider data within their existing patient portal. MultiVue will then act as the key driver of future data management needs, including a series of projects already outlined by both Maury’s clinical and business executives.
"Maury Regional has proven itself to be a true visionary, recognizing that master data management can facilitate not only data quality and analytics activities, but also larger, organizational priorities related to patient safety, population health management and care coordination," said Paul Roscoe, VisionWare’s CEO. "We are excited to partner with Maury in their efforts to continually improve the quality of care delivered across Tennessee."
